huntingtons - high school rock: it is a solid album start to finish. has a great ramones foundation and reminds me a lot of the queers - don't back down.

also is it bad that the only reason i know of naked raygun is because the hope conspiracy covered one of their songs? they seem like a pretty seminal band. where's a good place to start?

Jettison got me into the band. i played it on a bit of a whim (having heard the name before) on my college radio show years back. if "Soldier's Requiem" doesn't get to you, what will? oddly it is one of the few albums of theirs i don't own, so it's been some time since i've been able to really judge it as an album though.

All Rise is probably the best place to start; it's a good middle point between the faster hardcore stuff and the more melodic sound they took for the rest of their career.

word. suicide file is probably one of the best boston punk bands of the past 10-15 years, and there've been a lot.

closest thing i've heard as good as them in a minute was social circkle. and i missed out on pretty much their entire run. :(

Someone in the band moved out of Boston but I don't think they're done because No Way Fest is the record release show for their LP. Unless it's their last show doubling as it which would be fucking stupid.

That's part of it; before the chorus came up I actually predicted that the heavy screaming would come in at that point. Didn't seem to fit the mood of the song and neither did the drum rolls during the quiet part in the original.

I don't know why so many people are smoking crack above me... but if you don't have Basement Screams and Throb Throb, then something is just wrong. Jettison is great, don't get me wrong... but you have to have the 2 I mentioned... ESSENTIALS!
