After the Fall record new 7" with Don Fury

Albany, NY's After the Fall recently recorded three new songs with NYHC producer Don Fury at his new studio in Troy, NY. Veteran producer Fury previously worked with bands like Born Against, Quicksand, Agnostic Front and Gorilla Biscuits.

The new EP is titled Collar City and will be released on vinyl on to-be-announced labels. The band released Fort Orange earlier this year.

It's more of a time thing. Everything makes more sense when you're high, but only while you're high. As soon as you sober up, you lose the clarity you had when you were high, and thus falsely thing that everything actually makes more sense not high.

so i'm sitting here on a sunday afternoon and Hotel X by Inquisition comes on. and i forgot how fucking great that album was and still is.

and now i'm wasting time instead of being outside and shooting pics listening to the entire album.

My friend told me that the new Swellers sounds a lot like Piebald. I really like Piebald and now that I think about it, if that is the case, then it makes perfect sense that FBR didn't want to change anything about their sound.

I'm gunna miss the fast songs.

Samsies. I feel like they can't and won't make bad music though. I think it will always be good. And yeah I've seen them play that Fire Away song 2-3 times and then I heard another new one that was mid paced. The new song on their myspace is alright.

But ahh. The picture at the top of their myspace just SCREAMS FBR. If I had never seen them before and someone showed me a picture of them for the first time, I would instantly think they were on FBR.

So I downloaded the new Something Fierce album from Dirtnap and the fucking files are M4A. Fucking iTunes.

Anyone know how to convert them to mp3s so I can actually listen to them?

I thought iTunes can do it for you? Try right clicking on the song and see if there's an option for it.

iTunes is always .m4a... there's at least one .m4a to .mp3 converter out there that I have that works awesome, is simple, free and virus-free. But then there's others that aren't like that at all.

Has anyone downloaded from that gimmesound.com deal? Every time I download something, it downloads as an unexecutable file. All you have to do is register, right? Is my my old Dell just crap or am I missing something? Uhhhh...

Well, I've downloaded three albums (two Austin Lucas and Gifts From Enola), and both worked completely flawlessly. If you're not registered, you should try doing that, otherwise I suppose it's your software fucking things up. I'm using iTunes.

It's not weird to go to shows alone. Just have a beer and strike up a conversation or enjoy the music.

As much as I love my girl sometimes I'm glad when she doesn't go to shows for bands she doesn't like because I don't feel like I'm responsible for keeping her entertained the whole time.
