Shitty songs, don't care for this band as much as I did, but they're certainly passionate guys who truly make heartfelt music. For that, I applaud them.

Basically, the only reason I wanted to post here was to say that Jazzmaster gives me wood.

does brian fallon seriously sing "the '59 sound" differently every single time he performs it? i've never heard it performed live a) the same way twice, and b) the same way as it appears on record.

i don't mind b), but a) bugs me the fuck out.

The Kelly Clarkson track was supprisingly not bad. Not like I could compare to to the original, but Brian played it well.
'59 Sound sounded really, really bad.

Hearing him sing a Kelly Clarkson song really makes you appreciate her for her talent as a songwriter.

That was a pretty crappy cover. His phrasing was really stilted like he was trying too hard to make it different. I mean, I understand it. The original is sung really well, so it's kinda hard to change it without sounding forced. I think the second time he did the chorus was much more comfortable sounding and actually something I'd expect from a well-thought-out GA cover of KC.

And to answer the above question, Ted Leo, duh. But just wait until I get my hands on "My Life Would Suck Without You" or "I Want You." Then we'll see some awesome Kelly Clarkson covers.

Probably the best song on the album, just because it's radio song doesn' de-value it.

I feel that this cover is better than all original Gaslight acoustic songs outside of Wild Hearts/Blue Jeans/White T-Shirts.

Ok, these guys have officially overexposed themselves and its getting out of hand. Bruce and Brian singing into each others mic was one thing but a Kelly Clarkson song? this isnt punk goes pop, its time for this band to make its selves go away and hide for a while and write the next record cause its getting real old real fast and cred is going down hard.

...did anyone else notice "The Boss" didn't even care to learn the correct lyrics to the over exposed 59 sound before singing along? ...yet Brian Fallon knows all the words to Kelly Clarkson tracks...strange.
