"The Wild are a lot of things. They are a long sunny drive on an empty interstate. They're a hot summer night, drinking beers and barbecuing on your porch. With its jangly guitars and rolling narratives, The Wild's debut EP is perfect for those warmer months of the year. And not only is the music awesome, but The Wild also help run The Wonderroot, which is a community center in Atlanta that provides a low-cost/free recording studio, darkroom, computer lab, library, conference room for the local kids as well as an all-ages show space for tons of bands passing through, something Atlanta hasn't had in a while. Fucking inspiriing!"The EP can be downloaded at this link, and those wishing to buy a physical copy may do so at Sidejar Records.

thumbs up to the community center idea, but that band description is almost delonge-time-capsule-humanity-comment-worthy. 2+ Replies

The name is so stupid that I most likely won't check this band out, sometimes it's just a rule for me.

I'm digging this. But it could be the reference to Portsmouth, NH in "The City that Never Sleeps".

Was anyone at the btmi show in oly last night? It was fucking amazing! First of all everyone on the tour is soooo nice. We hung out behind the venue and drank an 18 pack of rainier with jeff and crew, and laura stevenson and this is a stickup from new york, who are also really fuckin good.

I'm digging these guys! For some reason I always like a band better when they contribute something to their community. Thumbs up! 1+ Reply

Man, I've been on a whiskey binge for like a week. Solid work on my part.
