The Phenomenauts have announced the first batch of dates for their upcoming Operation: Jumped Circuit tour. The band will be heading across the US and Canada on the run and the first batch of posted dates include support from The Revolts.

Take her to a coffee shop, get to know her aka "listening attentively and nodding while she talks your head off", then take her to the park and go feed the ducks. If she is cool, invite her to your place to hang out and maybe smoke a joint (first, make sure that she is not an undercover cop).

I was just about to say putt-putt!

Totally sounds dorky but is great. I have yet to meet a girl that didn't like it. It has a goofy fun feel that reminds them of being a kid, it's semi-competitive so you can get a little fun rivalry going, its social so thats a bonus, if it's lame; that's ok, its supposed to be, plus if the date is going well you can do the old, "If you make this shot you gotta..." type thing.

Also, if she turns out to be bat-crazy-nuts you have a golf club to defend yourself.

Nice! Though I will say it's been years since I've been on a first date (I'm with my wife for over 6 years and our first date as Anti-Flag and the Bouncing Souls, you can't top that). Still the principles for a solid evening are all contained in mini-golf, conversation starter, small competition and potential for physical contact.

My last two dates involved an abandoned military fort and a grappling hook, and a playground and swingsets respectively. playgrounds rule

I've never tried urban exploring as a date. It sounds awesome
(unless it was an open fort or something.)

the park around the fort was open but the fort itself was closed, so we used the grappling hook to get over the wall and then watched the sunset on top of the wall platform thing which overlooks the Potomac river and DC skyline. it was all romantic and shit. d'aww

I remember when I first heard about it I thought i'd wanna see it, just because they were my favorite toy ever and I loved the comic books. But now, not so much.

Anyone read the old GI Joe comics?
They were really gritty and totally different than the cartoon. I remember a story arc where some of them were captured and thrown into a gulag. It was bloody and fucked up. And they even killed off a character or two.
For some stupid reason that's how I envisioned they'd make the movie.
