Trap Them signs to Prosthetic, plans EP on Southern Lord

Prosthetic Records has signed Trap Them. The band is described as Swedish death metal, punk and d-beat and names bands like Entombed, Black Flag, Nasum and Tragedy as influenced. Prior to their forthcoming Prosthetic debut, the band will be releasing an EP through Southern Lord Records.

Trap Them has released several seven inches and EPs and two full lengths, the latest being Seizures in Barren Praise on Deathwish Inc. Check out some music here.

It doesn't say they are. It says, "influenced." And there's definitely a strong Entombed influence on their material, especially their newer stuff.

The influence is there for sure, but they really don't play death metal. And he was right; the story describes them as so.

Yeah, I just re-read that and commented below. On Lambgoat and blabbermouth it says, "influenced" or something along those lines. A bunch of it seems cut out here.

once my friend got like 4 free tickets to see them, so we went for the hell of it. worst show i've ever been to. i mean, i can't stand the band to begin with. but they are so cheesy and ridiculous live. so bad.

They left Deathwish for Prosthetic? Odd choice. At least that label has two good bands now (Kylesa being the other one) not that I bought any records from them as the vinyl versions by that band came out on other labels, I'd assume this will to?

Seizures in Barren Praise was pretty awesome. Mission Convincers is a monster of a closing track. Good to hear we'll be hearing more from them soon.
