Dirty Laundry - a web series which features bands being interviewed inside a laundromat - has posted a new episode in which Cursive talks about their appearance on Late Night With David Letterman, frontman Tim Kasher's lucky Garfield boxers, and the Omaha, NE music scene, among other things. The band is currently touring in support of their recent full-length, Mama, I'm Swollen.

I like probably 5-10% of the new music I hear every day. And you have to consider that I'm looking for bands that I am supposed to like and should potentially enjoy. As in I don't go listening to random bands, I visit music blogs and whatnot and try out the bands that sound appealing to me. And then I only like about 5-10% of them. So that should answer your question.

Is Mama I'm Swollen worth giving a try? I really liked The Ugly Organ and Domestica but not Happy Hollow and I'm afraid of listening to Mama and being disappointed again.

I like it better than Happy Hollow. You need to try it for the few songs that are great, but a lot of it is kind of boring in my opinion. If I like a band (or at least one of their albums), I give all their albums a try, without hesitation.
