The Lawrence Arms' Neil Hennessy joins the Copyrights for Red Scare Tour

The Lawrence Arms drummer Neil Hennessy will be filling in for Luke McNeill on the The Copyrights upcoming shows on the Red Scare Tour. The band is touring with Cobra Skulls throughout the month, wrapping up in Seattle on the 16th.

I'm definitely going to the show. it's a great lineup. Saw Cobra Skulls last month at Thee Parkside. They played a short, but awesome set. If you have haven't seen/heard Rockfight yet, they are a good local San Francisco punk band. Definitely worth getting there early and checking out.

nice. i saw him with the popes the last time they were in town. pathetic turnout, maybe only 100 people showed up, but he was awesome. especially with a really huge phil spector-type beat like "stephanie."

it's really sad because i remember when AP had like a shred of credibility. i remember buying an issue with the bosstones on the cover in like, early high school and pretty much a history of ska from desmond dekker all the way up to the 90's and saying how bands like the bosstones, less than jake and rancid were the "new guard" of where ska was going.

and now it's all just.........sideways haircuts and neon t-shirts.

most of the day I don't work in my cubicle, I work at one of two scanning stations in very small file rooms, usually alone. On friday one of the tech guys came into fix a problem with the other computer in this file room, he is here for no more than about 2 or 3 minutes and takes the time to drop a disgusting fart. I hate people sometimes.

Do you know if the Santa Cruz show is 18+? I don't think I can get a ride out to SF, but I might be able to finagle one to Santa Cruz provided that I can actually get in.

I think it might be a bar show, yeah. Which is something that Cobra Skulls try to avoid at all costs. That means only one ting: you must procure a fake ID. Make it happen!

Also, looks like they have $3 Coronas that night, stoked!

The Blue Lagoon is a rad venue too. I was always hoping that they'd have shows there when I was in college (it's little dance club some of the other nights), but they started having shows there right after I graduated in 2005.
