Issue Oriented, the podcast hosted by Ronen Kauffman, vocalist of Zombie Apocalypse and author of New Brunswick, New Jersey, Goodbye - Bands, Dirty Basements and the Search for Self has posted its 46th episode. The show prominently features Reno, NV trio Cobra Skulls, who recently released their sophomore full-length, American Rubicon. That record is currently streaming at the band's Punknews.org page.

I love this band, but "American Rubicon" has yet to click with me. It's a good record, but I'm just not getting the awesome vibes save from a few tracks. I should probably listen to it more.

Fuck, I want to download it, but I want to buy it too, and I know if I download it, there's a significant chance that I won't buy it because I'll have to worry about paying for the new Thrice/Polar Bear Club/Chuck Ragan records along with tickets to the first Hurricanes game of the year. I think I'll wait and buy it.

Im almost done and the songs actually sound different from eachother. Im going to have to give it a few more spins to see if I like it as much as I expected too.

I think I'll just wait and snag it off of No Idea with "Chasing Hamburg." Fat Wreck's CD's, even new, are always dirt cheap on No Idea's website.

Cool interview. I think Ronen actually "gets" the whole silly name and logo thing. I'm always surprised at how many people are confused and turned off by it. Oh well, too late to change the band name now!

I've never met an .orger either! I'm the singer for Suburban Hostage; definitely come say hi. I'm guessing it's happening at Moe's so it can be 16+. Cobra Skulls were just at Benders at the beginning of August so I'm guessing they didn't want to do another 21+ show.

Just saw the Cobra Skulls play in Arizona a couple weekends ago. Very awesome.

Also, the new album is so fucking killer it hurts. Can't say enough good things about this band.
