I try to ignore most oi/oi influenced/street punk. Cream rises to the top, etc. Therefore, I was not aware of this. Now I will listen to the Swingin' Utters since you put the idea in my head. Goddamn I love that band.

Isn't that trend kind of over at this point?

My take on it is that the Utters had just as much influence on the 'pop-punk with pirate voices' scene as they did on the street-punk scene. Not to mention they were doing 'folky-punk' before almost anyone else.

your band is really good, by the way. Sounds very much like lawrence arms, in the very best of ways (however)

Five Lessons Learned is one of my all time favorite albums. When it first came out I played it pretty much for a month non-stop.

I agree with the 7" idea as well. Especially if one would have to download the entire album in order to get the bonus tracks. Fuck that. Common Existence was a great album and all, but I don't really want to buy it twice.
