Nirvana's 1992 Reading Set Debuting as CD/DVD in November

Geffen has announced plans to release a new CD+DVD from Nirvana. Set for November 3, 2009, the DVD features remastered footage of the performance, and the original film has also been color-corrected, making the picture pristine. Only two of the 25 performances on the disc have ever been released officially prior to this.

The show features almost all the songs from Nevermind, three from In Utero and tracks from Bleach.

The label has produced a posthumous release every year since 2002 with Nirvana, With the Lights Out, Sliver: The Best of the Box, Live! Tonight! Sold Out!!, Unplugged and others coming each year around October/November.

i used d4 cos they're your most played band on last.fm and therefore likely to be one of your favourite bands. nirvana is most likely also the favourite band of a fair few people.

To be fair, I would love if one of my favorite bands released a shit ton of live videos. Especially ones I missed out on in their time. It's worth watching even if there's only one different song on it.

I've got a shit ton of Nirvana bootlegs that I collected back in the 90's. This show is one of the best though! Glad I will be able to get a nice polished version.

I think that's where he's going. It's completely great that people are still into them but it's odd when a bands posthumous output outnumbers their output during their active years 2 to 1.

Pretty much. I'll always love Nirvana, but they only recorded for about 4 years. They didn't have time to get boring or sucky. See: countless other bands.

bring it on, i have this set on my ipod and i listen to it all the time. awesome to give it a proper release.

fuck the haters, the fact is nirvana was my generation's the beatles and they were the fucking best. will be buying the 2xlp for sure.
