Green Day's performance of "East Jesus Nowhere" from last night's VMAs is available online. The band won awards for "Best Rock Video," "Best Direction," "Best Cinematography" for their song, "21 Guns" from 21st Century Breakdown.

I don't care enough to watch this. Did Puffy get on stage and say "Parliament was a better band!" or something? 1+ Reply

there are some cringeworthy lyrics in this song, and the new record is mediocre at best, but green day's always been a pretty great live act and that's not a bad performance. 5+ Replies

I spent last night watching Mad Men and the King of the Hill finale. I feel secure in my choice. 12+ Replies

They also won "Best Punknews.org No Care Ever Articles" for every article over the last year. Kudos!

I remember reading about their performance on the '94 VMAs and laughing. The MTV executives wanted them to play "Basket Case" but they played "Armatage Shanks" instead. Someone asked their tour manager or something if the song was the same length and the response was, "They're all the same length." 1+ Reply

FYI we've killed that Muse ad. Sorry about that. It was never our intention to run something overly intrusive. If you guys see anything else like that pop up let us know.
