Green Day has announced a new box set to compile their many 7-inch singles. The $150 set will include 42 songs pressed on 21 vinyl singles limited to 2500 copies.
The set reaches as far back as the band's early Lookout! Records material including "Going to Pasalacqua" and ends with "Know Your Enemy" and "21 Guns." Interestingly, the set also includes singles written by the band's two alter egos, The Network and Foxboro Hot Tubs. Check it out here. Green Day (44 comments)

That last 7" in the set may just be the worst 7" ever made. Completely unlistenable.

I thought The Network was kinda cool. 1+ Reply

Sooo.... 21 records for $150. That's roughly $7 for material that's already been recorded and released. I mean...I guess there's art and stuff but this still seems a bit excessive. 4+ Replies

This a nice idea. Those that don't like the price of $7 per a record should consider that the average new 7-inch in Chicago record stores is $6. Most mailorder records are $5 now. $150 is a fine price, especially if you like novelty box sets. 9+ Replies

can anyone hook me up with (or point me to a download of) "jump at shadows" by broadway calls? i fucked up and didn't get it when they were offering it for free download, and now the site it was on has gone... 1+ Reply

A couple of these make absolutely no sense. They just pulled random songs they liked off of LPs and created a brand new, not-real 7" for them? Then when they do have things that were actually released as 7"s (Waiting and Geek Stink Breath for example) they don't even have the original track listing.

i will probably get this. $172.99 US to my door isn't really that bad. i just hope it doesn't sell out before i can get it on a christmas list for my wife to pick up. 2+ Replies

Who calculated 42 songs on 21 7 inches? Just about all the 7 inches have 3 or 4 songs.

So I went home with some chick last night... I'm not sure what's worse: not getting a nut at 5am, the condom breaking and not being replaced, feeling poo when I put my finger in her butt, sleeping on a heroin mattress in her living room, he...r swine flu coughing fit at 7am or realizing she peed the bed at 10am. Actually it was probably the fact that she continuously told me she was the classiest girl on the campus.

all the full lengths have just been reissued on vinyl, so you could get the band's entire catalog for roughly the same price. | Features
