New York City's Vivian Girls have unveiled their new video for the single "When I'm Gone." You can check it out over at Pitchfork TV.

The band's new record Everything Goes Wrong is out now on In The Red Records.

When I saw that yesterday, it didn't really strike me as very apt. I, however got on the L train to Brooklyn last night (Weakerthans killed, btw) and the train was nothing but Applestore Indie chicks. The L is always a circus train, but this time it was homogeneously these broads.

I looooove Mika Miko. About two years ago I randomly stumbled into an in-store they were doing and had a blast, then promptly completely forgot about it. About three months ago right when their newest album was coming out I stumbled upon a video from that in-store, went record shopping a couple days later and they coincidentally had We Be Xuxa on a display.

Mauled by Tigers? Their fest was always fun except for the huuuuuge contingent of traveling assholes that didn't respect the venues/basements some of the shows were in because they didn't have to deal with the fall out when they left.

Talking about People Projects? The kids who ran that place always struck me as the same ungrateful upper-middle-class smelly fly-by-nighters of whom you speak.

I always had a great time at MBT though; better than Riot Fest by far.
