Jello Biafra's new band, Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine, have announced a run of tour dates in the United States and Spain.
The band's other members include Billy Gould (Faith No More), Kimo Ball (Freak Accident), Ralph Spight (Victims Family), and Jon Weiss, and will release their debut entitled The Audacity of Hype on October 20, 2009 through Alternative Tentacles.

3 times in SF, huh? Maybe had they put one more date I would have been convinced to go. 2+ Replies

Bumped into Jello Biafra in SF last weekend....kinda strange, i was visiting and obviously you don't expect it....got a shitty dark mobile phone pic for me efforts.

10 bucks says Jello closed his eyes and spun a globe to decide what the other country to tour in would be. Spain seems a bit of a random choice.

Yes, the 3 S.F dates are part of the 30th Anniversary celebration @ the Great American Music Hall. 1+ Reply

His band name and album name both reference current events, he must be aware of world issues.

They are also playing in Dallas Thursday the 29th at the Prophet Bar. I'm going to go.

I always thought it was kinda douchey when an already established musician starts a new band and feels the need to put his name out front, Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine, Lars Frederickson and the Bastards, Duane Peters and the Hunns...I just don't get it.... 1+ Reply

I never really liked the Dead Kennedys.
