Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday, The Color Fred) and Andy Jackson (Hot Rod Circuit, Death in the Park) have started a new band called Initials. The band came into existence when Mascherino decided he wanted to do a full-band again as opposed to his current solo endeavour in The Color Fred.

Mascherino made the following statement in an AP interview:
We're just working on those one-by-one and trying to get the record done and out. If we can do a tour before then, we're going to. We've already gotten offers, but we're looking to go out and open for one of our friends just to get the word out. I'd say we won't have a record until Spring."

The band currently has several shows booked, and a demo song on their MySpace.
