Weezer on Yo Gabba Gabba, duet with Gossip Girl, live on Letterman

A handful of visual Weezer updates today. First, the band will be appearing in bug-styled regalia on the beloved children's program, Yo Gabba Gabba. The show is a project co-developed by Aquabats' MC Bat Commander and you can see the performance here.

The band also recently performed their single, "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" with Gossip Girl star, Leighton Meester. Meester previously collaborated with Cobra Starship. Video of that performance is on YouTube.

Finally, the band hit the Late Show with David Letterman to perform their song, "I'm Your Daddy," while decked out in full snuggies. Check that one out here.

If they had done this kind of stuff during the Blue Album/Pinkerton era, it would be considered awesome and iconic, etc. Now it just seems like such a tired stretch.

I loved this band so much, and now they're almost like a parody of themselves, but taking it as serious as one can.

Re: Letterman performance

Not a bad song. But the whole Weezer snuggie thing: again, a tired stretch. Put that animal out of its misery and move on to other projects.

I thought that Red had a lot of great stuff on it that almost made the album the ACTUAL follow-up to Pinkerton, it sounded like Rivers was finally writing for nobody else but himself again and a lot of really neat stuff came out of that. I just don't know what's going on with a lot of these new songs though, it really bums me out.

That songs not bad, but please Rivers, get back behind the guitar.

He looks like he is doing bad kareoke at a western bar with those dance moves.

Also, as much as their antics are boderline retarded at times, at least they are not taking themselves seriously at all. I am sure they realize their best stuff may be behind them and are just having fun with it. More bands should have this attitude.

Raditude is such a shit-storm. Unbelievably fucking horrible.

Even The Red Album had 2 good songs. Raditude... not one. Not a single listenable track. Hell, if "Beverly Hills" was on THIS album, it would've been refreshing.

How they can just continue to fall down the fucking hill, year after year?

Let's say someone's 16 in 1994 when "Buddy Holly" comes out. Nearly the perfect age for Weezer, perhaps? Let's say they have kids when they're 26. Those kids are 5 years old as of this year, perfect for Yo Gabba Gabba. I think they're got this one covered.

yeah this isn't the greatest song
BUT Rivers looks like he's having fun which he rarely does live.
It's pretty strange seeing Josh Freese drumming instead of the other gentlemen

Raditude is on sale at Amazon MP3 for $3.99, so if you are going to buy it you might as well get it cheaper then buying the actually cd.
