There will also be a bunch of extras such as music videos, short films, commentary tracks and more. The band is also promising footage of the band's final show.

Even as an athiest, I fucking love the song "Every New Day". 3+ Replies

I've changed my mind since my original comment. There's nothing better than standing skanking in front of an altar under the watchful eye of some unnamed youth minister.

AP named One Armed Scissor the best song of the decade. They had a full page on the new Dead To Me. They had Cobra Skulls. They had a huge thing on Sunny Day Real Estate. 8+ Replies

And God came to Reece in a dream and said, "Underoath is God awful. I am losing my flock. The kids need a DVD, Reece." 2+ Replies

I subscribe to it and read it cover to cover. They do put in solid, relevant acts, but they also have to put in the artists that kids are going nuts over. I still feel it's worth the subscription price.

I'm happy I got to see them live twice in their last couple years. Insanely fun band. I don't listen to much ska/punk any more, but they're one of the ridiculous bands I loved in high-school / college that I'm not embarrassed over now. 1+ Reply

Pretty sure this was planned since right after they broke up. They're just reallllllly slow. See the final Brave Saint Saturn record which took like fifty years to finish and release. 1+ Reply

As a proud and unashamed owner of 3 five iron tattoos I'm stoked. 4+ Replies

This band was so good. One of my favorite bands from my high school years. Such a a great live band too.

It's been planned since right after they broke up, but there was no funding from what I understand. You can't hate too much on eht 90s Christian ska/punk. That's where a LOT of people I know and I got our start in punk music. 1+ Reply

It's always funny to me when I see people bashing this band for their beliefs. I mean, I can understand when people criticize organized religion because I feel like people have twisted religions to accomodate their own personal agendas. I will admit that there were a lot of crappy Christian punk/ska bands, but there were also some really good ones. And really, there are a lot of crappy secular bands too. Five Iron was one of the good ones. What I liked about them was that they made their beliefs clear, but they never really jammed it down anyone's throat. It seems hypocritical for a community that prides itself on freedom of speech and openmindedness to criticize a band for expressing their beliefs. 2+ Replies

Unbelievable ska band with a great sense of humor. If you're writing them off because they we're a Christian band, your loss.

Cool. Haven't heard about this band in ages. Saw them once for the first and last time in 1997, when i was 13. Good times. Eff the haters!

Not exactly the most religious guy, but I enjoyed this band. They wrote some good songs.

In an interview on their website with their drummer he's asked what he misses and doesn't about being in FIF, I thought that this answer was really refreshing and honest... and I remembered thats why I loved this band so much to begin with:
"I don’t miss being away from family my family, not showering for days, and all of the other things that suck about being on the road. But more than anything I don’t miss the religious part of it. If I ever have to listen to another youth minister’s sermon, or another sickening round of “As The Deer” I may vomit. I think at first I truly believed in my heart that all that stuff was legit, but the idea of some middle aged guy up there acting like he can relate to these kids is absurd. I’m 34 now and there is no way I could relate to a teenager. No matter how hard I try to hang on to my youth, I can’t. You can’t stop your show rest of comment | Features

Skanking for Jesus was easily one of the worst subcultural trends of the late 1990s. Fuck this miserable life.
