Punknews.org staff reviewer Darren McLeod recently interviewed Propagandhi about the band's love of hockey. On a semi-related note, the band also discusses their song "Dear Coach's Corner", which appears on their latest full-length Supporting Caste.

Hmmmm...interesting to see them mention Leafs Lunch. My dream is pretty much to one day host that show so it's kinda weird to see a crossover from that to punk rock.

Not that I'm into Propahandhi really, but still an interesting read.

I like the radio guy for the Panthers, Randy Moeller. When the Panthers score, he adds some random movie line or song lyric into it ...

Yeah, go home and cry BJ's. After the 9-1 ass kicking they got the other night, it's easy to see that Mason is a shitty goalie (and don't even mention Osgood, as I'm not a fan of his either). The only good player the BJ's have is Rick Nash, just like the only good player for Atlanta is Ilya Kovalchuk. At least the wings have Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom and Kronwall. Go Wings!!!

I agree they threw a lot of money at him, but you can't really argue with 40 goals and 31 assists. He seems like the perfect fit on a Blackhawks team full of playmakers. Now, if you want to talk super overpaid "talent," look no further than Brian Campbell or Cristobal Huet. We need a goalie who doesn't suck. And quick.

also I read an interview not to long ago where Chris Hannah was going on about his admiration for Rage Against the Machine and what they were capable of doing within the framework of the industry.

RATM managed to never compromise their vision. Look at a band like Anti-Flag who has been pushing the same weak, vague message for years. Or Rancid who basically seem engineered to sell plaid pants any more these days. I think it's awesome that theres a punk rock band out there who props up major label bands that really walk the walk while simultaneously mocking "punk rock" bands who peter out and worry about selling shoes

When the Criminals played Winnipeg I made fun of the crowd & the city for losing their hockey team to the American Southwest. They hated us, probably only partially because of that!

Did the same thing in Detroit when we toured with Zeke & the Voodoo Glow Skulls. The crowd was puzzled, then hostile. It was really fun, and SO easy.
