My internet is a little slow and does that thing where pictures take a few seconds to start loading, and then push the screen down when they finally show up. I say this because I thought you had the No Slogan album listed in three consecutive positions.

This story sucks.

Kylesa is so great; that first track is indeed huge. If you liked their new one check out the last two LPs. The difference in sound and style is negligible, which is a good thing in this case.

I was hoping they'd get a little more creative with the dual drums, though. There are some great moments, but overall it just serves to thicken up their sound and isn't too remarkable. Then again I can only imagine the abject nightmare of recording and synching two drum tracks in the studio.

I cannot possibly be the only person who thinks the new Nothington record is one of the year's best, yet I haven't noticed anyone else mentioning it.

No I to think it's one of this years awesomest record, and i am so looking forward seeing them in march. When it comes to "best of..." lists people act strange.

Somewhere I read that they had the courage to play a traditional style but with their own additions and without mimicking their influences.

I agree, I just didn't care much for the directions they went with it, especially some of the terrible vocal excesses

i streamed roman line and cloak/dagger this week at work cause i wanna be more cool and listen to more cool music but both those bands fuckin SUCKED! especially roman line that shit was soooo boring.

id like to buy an avail album today? which one is best?

they just sounds like a crappy version of the hives to me.

also, did avail change their sound in their career? i remember hearing old comps they just sounded like boring melodic hardcore but the songs they got on myspace seem kinda cooler like dual vocals tempo change ups n shit

In that case you should stay away from earlier stuff like Satiate. Go with Over The James and maybe Front Porch Stories.

But I would suggest giving Cloak/Dagger's "We Are" a shot. I like it better than the new stuff.
