Thousandaires: “High Fived in Effigy”

Brooklyn/Queens, NY's Thousandaires have posted a new song from an upcoming split 7" with Fellow Project for Kiss of Death Records.

Check out "High Fived in Effigy" at the band's Facebook page. The band features members of Bridge and Tunnel, Halo Fauna, The State Lottery, Kudrow and that dude with the mullet from If You Make It.

I kinda hope bands don't start using Facebook as their main music showcase pages, they should really just turn MySpace into a music-centric site since that's all anyone uses it for anyway and it is kind of convenient for that. All I use facebook for is a sort of messageboard for people I actually know

@badbrain i think people just use myspace cause its easy and everyone else has it so ure expected to have one. personally i think it sucks and i hate using it. its a slow, buggy website. http://bandcamp.com/ is the best way for bands to share music that i've seen, it seems to be catching on and it doesn't look like a bad flash site from 2001.

Yeah that makes sense, they just need something equivalent that is a standardized centric place for bands to post and share their music and whatnot, there's definitely an opportunity there for someone to create something for that specific purpose, and it wouldn't be hard to make it a major improvement on what myspace is doing with it like you said

Yes, bandcamp kicks ass.

I just default to myspace when searching to hear a band because 99% of them use it. I hope one day 99% of bands use bandcamp.

so do i, i can think of literally only one band that has any popularity that doesn't have one. we gotta figure out how to destroy myspace and send everyone somewhere else. the myspace search drives me insane, you can't get to a band's page from myspace you have to search google.

I decided to cover all the bases. Facebook is kind of nuts, the music player is in some weird position all the way at the bottom, almost like an afterthought. I can't even move it closer to the top. I put it up on Last.FM too which isn't so bad, but it's also full of tons of distracting things. Bandcamp is cool, but doesn't really fit for posting one song.
