Bikini Kill launches digital archive

Defunct riot grrl punk band Bikini Kill, who broke up in 1998, has launched a blog for fans to post stories/photos of their favorite BK moments.

I remember I was dating a girl, really cute girl too, in high school. We were both into punk but more on the Souls, Impossibles, type stuff...
She started listening to Bikini Kill. She promptly chopped off all her hair and thought she was a feminist. This band ruined great blow jobs.

Every time I read comments on the Internet or hear snide remarks by punks about riot grrrl "ruining their blowjobs" (god forbid!), it reminds me of how relevant riot grrrl critiques of male privilege in the scene were are still are. This project is pretty fucking rad.
