Sorry, but this is a logical misfire. Being non-religious implies tolerance, but anti-religious implies a total lack of respect for someone's lifestyle. And religion and fascism are not one in the same. Granted, religion has been used to justify some awful things, but so have politics. It's all about how you use it and how respectful you are of others' beliefs.

Religion and fascism are both groupings of ideologies -- not lifestyles, and definitely not people. Ideologies may shape and inform people and lifestyles but still exist outside of them and can always be attacked without dragging individuals (or "lifestyles") into the argument. Merely being against an idea is not intolerance, period. What one does with that outlook, however, defines one's tolerance.

Probably true but, at the same time, coming out and saying you killed a religion's central figure is meant to provoke people, not debate. I say this as someone is completely non-religious, non-spiritual, and leans closer to atheism than to a belief in a god. There is way to oppose an idea without being an asshole about it.

Also, saying religion isn't a lifestyle is kind of short-sighted, dude. Just because it's not born into you doesn't mean it's not a lifestyle. It's a cultural thing, and it's incredibly pervasive in some places. I hate what organized religion has done to the world as much as anybody, but some very decent and good people would have been completely lost without religion. I don't begrudge them for that as much as I don't begrudge say, punk, for making someone who they are.

I.e. religion is a text or oral tradition and clerical interpretations thereof. Lifestyle is distinct from religion, however connected it may often appear: It's how individuals and groups act on the aforementioned. Being a tolerant antitheist is a "Destroy power, Not people" sort of thing. You have the best chance of changing individual minds and lifestyles by assaulting the ideas and hierarchies that inform them, anyway.

Religion is virtually identical to fascism, just dressed in prettier clothing and used as excuse to demand "tolerance" for INTOLERANCE. As a matter of fact, more often than not religion is used as way of masking & providing excuses for intolerance (i.e. homophobia and racism.) Apparently you're "intolerant" if you tell someone else their racist, homophobic religion is full of shit.

But I do sort of agree with your sentiment. Women in art and media all too often objectify themselves to attract fans. In those cases I can hardly sympathize with complaints of misogyny because it's self-perpetuating.
