Back in the days of Kazaa & 28.8 modems, comps helped me discover some great bands...
Rock Against Bush: Jawbreaker (I was a late bloomer), Against Me!
Fat VI: Dillinger Four, Propaghandi
Warped 02: Lawrence Arms, Avoid One Thing
I feel ya...Punk O Rama V.4 with "Generator" and "Kids of the K-hole" was my first addictive doseage of punk rock. That and Short Music for Short People...greatest punk rock comp EVER.
absolutely! survival of the fattest introduced me to lagwagon, no use and propagandhi. oh, and the rock against bush cds introduced me to a plethora of bands: against me!, d4, jawbreaker, descendents, larry arms...thanks for getting me into 'good' punk, fat mike.
Aside from Unwound, Thrones was probably the best band to be on this label and sadly, they are left out of the comp.
