Dr. Strange reissues Government Issue and Stalag 13

Dr. Strange Records has announced that they have just reissued two classic records from D.C.'s Government Issue and Nardcore legends Stalag 13. Dr. Strange has announced that both Government Issue's "The Fun Never Ends" and Stalag 13's "In Control" will also feature bonus tracks not available on the original releases.

You can purchase both records by visiting the Dr. Strange website. Both records also have a limited edition colored version limited to 200 copies each.

i justpicked up his 100th release not too long ago. it's a comp celebrating the history of the label. mostly the really really old early stuff he did, and the later resissues. not a lot of the poppy punk stuff from the golden age of pop punk.

that's basically it. reissues and new records from old bands. i think he got tired of the pop punk kids. the ones in bands, not the ones in bands.

the old bands are easier to deal with, i think, cos they're older, and aren't all tied up by their egos. i know he got burned by guttermouth at least, and i kind of remember seeing reference to one other band whose name escapes me.

the stars have never aligned in such a way that i've been anywhere Alta Loma, the store is closed. or i'm broke. when i have money or they're open, i'm nowhere near there.

some day. i've emailed him once or twice. seriously cool dude. i remember PORING over his print catalog that was like 50 pages of 7 or 8 point type, single spaced.

one of my favorite record buying binges was from him. i ordered like $200 worth of stuff. including all kinds of stuff i still listen to.

did you see that microcosm compiled issues 1-4 of SCAM zine? i picked it up the other day. just finished reading issue 7 last night. am now reading a random issue of rice harvester. then i've got a new cometbus to read. and some other random things that no one else in the world but you would appreciate.

Face to Face didn't "burn" him, per se. They just got Fat to reissue Don't Turn Away after the Doc let it go out of print. And why did he do that? Because Trever from F2F ran off with his wife.
