Details for Dan Potthast / Toh Kay (Streetlight Manifesto) split

Details have been released for the recently promised split from Dan Potthast and Tomas Kalnoky of Streetlight Manifesto (under the name Toh Kay. The album is titled You By Me: Volume 1 and will feature Dan covering five of Tomas' tracks and Tomas covering five of Dan's. The album is due out November 15th, 2010.

The label notes: "[there were] no rules regarding rearranging and changing the songs, whether it be genre, chord progressions or even a lyric or two."

Someone hooked me up with this yesterday, but oddly enough only 9 songs... the one missing was "I've Set Sail".
All in all, it's pretty neat, and I'll definitely be ordering the physical copy.

And yes, Tomas does Mu330.

I'll admit I'm interesting in hearing more of Kalnoky's solo work if it's in this style (I refuse to call him "Toh Kay"...seriously, what the fuck?).

I wish Dan P & The Bricks would tour, at least to Southern California. What I've heard from them is awesome, and it's the closest I'll ever get to seeing Slow Gherkin. I'm not paying full ticket price for Streetlight just to see him play for 20 minutes; I'd seriously rather PayPal him gas money from Santa Cruz to LA for a full show. Hmm.....
