Krazy Fest announces first six bands

We recently announced that Krazy Fest would be returning in 2011 after being discontinued in 2004. Organizers have just confirmed the first six bands who will be playing the festival, set to take place from May 20th - 23rd at the Expo 5 in Louisville, KY. Those bands are Samiam, Chamberlain, Bouncing Souls, Anti-Flag, Bane and By the Grace of God.

Samiam is a good start, but Bane and Anti-Flag cancel them out. I'll wait until more bands are announced.

Really? A less exciting band than samiam??? You've obviously never seen The Deftones live or heard or seen anyone on Decaydance or seen Taking Back Sunday. I can think of about a million others way less exciting than Samiam. Fail.

I love Samiam. I've seen them many times. I've also seen the Deftones many times. Deftones are one of the best live bands I've ever seen.

Band had a good release and were mediocre live in their prime. I can only imagine what it's going to be like now over a decade later.

More than promising, they will blow peoples minds. So many kids have no clue about them, one of the best bands of the 90's.

Oh man, they have 2 new songs on their website! Why didn't I know about this? Apparently that one dude from The Gaslight Anthem is on one of the songs.

Say Chamberlain open for Gaslight...was NOT impressed. They kinda sounded like a 90's stoner rock. Very boring.

Hey, just got back from Home Depot and got that industrial lube you asked for to remove that giant stick in your ass.

Split lip/Chamberlin WERE an amazing band. I am not going to get all "history lesson" but your ignorance to their legacy and influence is sad.

I have no idea what they sound like now (I try and stay away from reunions as they do have a tendency to tarnish good memories), but the fact that they are playing again shouldn't have such a detrimental impact on your life as comes off with this comment.

Actually, saw both Split Lip and Chamberlain many times, so you can save the history lesson. I was there. Thought they were horrid back then. I will give them credit for being one of the first bands from this scene to try the Americana Springsteen/Son Volt thing, although they did it poorly, at best. I watched their rise and fall, so spare me.

i live ten minutes away from the creation museum and have never thought about going there. all i know about it is from what i saw in bill mauer's documentary "religulous". BUT they are building a creationism theme park in kentucky, so that's another thing to look forward to seeing in this state
