Segments from Fishbone doc appear online

Two clips from Everyday Sunshine: The Story Of Fishbone have appeared online. The film is a new documentary about genre-hopping outfit Fishbone. The clips include segments with No Doubt's Gwen Stefani, Laurence Fishburne (as narrator), Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea, Damon Wayans, Ice-T and Perry Farrell.

Awesome! After seeing those two little segments, I can honestly say I'm stoked for this, and a little surprised that a documentary on them was made sooner. Kind of sucks that they were in the middle-ground for acceptance, but it seems that was almost the perfect place for them to truly shine.
Seen them open for Primus, Cypress Hill, Lollapalooza, and Warped, and every time, it was absolutely insane... all eyes were on Angelo, and he was always the perfect showman and had a great attitude. One of the best live acts around, hands down.

Is this the same Fishbone Doc available on instant Netflix? If so, I have it in my queue. I should watch it tonight.

You're probably talking about Critical Times. That's completely different from this new documentary, but it's still a great watch (even though it's apparently unauthorized). It's mostly footage of Fishbone in the studio trying to record an album and fighting a lot. There's also another documentary that came out about the same time as The Reality Of My Surroundings, but I haven't seen that one yet.

Fishbone was my favorite band when I was 14. Truth and Soul is a classic.
