Ellwood (Mad Caddies) join Fat, announce new album

Fat Wreck Chords has signed Ellwood, the new project from Mad Caddies vocalist Chuck Robertson. The band will release their debut for the label, Lost In Transition, on June 21, 2011.

More info including an MP3 and tour dates is expected soon.

Ha, beat me to the submittal. Caddies are hit and miss with me, but this band seems really solid. Looking forward to their stuff.

Sounds about right. I've heard enough to know I dig their experimental angle, but when I saw them live last year their entire set was just reggae-rock and generic punk. Big let-down.

Hmm, just sounds like the caddies. I kinda assumed it would be straight forward punk rock or something....not that sounding like the caddies is a bad thing.

Duck and cover was so good and then nothing else ever came close...These guys sound like that real old mad caddies softcore album. That was pretty good too

Todd Rosenberg is also in the Mad Caddies and was a founding member. He's even mentioned in their early song "Surfing."

It's also worth mentioning that Dustin Lanker was (is) in the Cherry Poppin' Daddies.

Lanker has also been the Caddies' touring keyboardist for years and played on 'Keep It Going' (along with the CPD horn section).

Also, I believe bassist Graham Palmer is an original Caddie, no?
