Energy have parted ways with hardcore label Bridge Nine Records. Releases through the label included 2008's Invasions of the Mind, and the EPs Race The Sun and Walk Into The Fire. The band explained the situation:

We have officially parted ways with Bridge 9 Records. This means that we are free agents, and are running this band entirely on our own now. We are not opposed to doing one off releases with labels if the circumstances are right, but we have other plans for releasing music now. Our plans are continuing to release digital singles every few months or so, as opposed to releasing a new full length album every 2 or 3 years. This way everyone gets to hear new material from us at a faster rate. All of these digital singles/E.P.'s will be available to download for free because let's face it: if you're releasing music in this day and age - it's free whether you're charging for it or not.

Yesterday, the band debuted an outtake from the Walk into The Fire sessions titled "Secrets." You can find that on their Bandcamp.
