Blink 182 posted the tour dates for their Honda Civic tour with My Chemical Romance on their website. Manchester Orchestra will be opening for the first half of the tour and then Matt and Kim will take over as the openers for the second half of the tour. During their trek in Canada Blink 182 will be taking a break from the Honda Civic Tour to play a handful of shows with Rancid and Against Me!.
Tool still does I think; really big mainstream rap and country tours do all the time. Disturbed and Nickelback and shit bands like that probably do. I saw Jeff Beck in a stadium eight years ago.
I dunno you tell me...? I was making an assumption based on reading a couple times that their concerts sometimes drew over 30,000 after their last album. Too big for an arena or ampitheater.
There's a place in Phoenix called the Ashley Furniture HomeStore Pavilion...used to be called Cricket Pavilion...and was called Blockbuster Desert Sky Pavilion before that
I am implying that Blink 182 was NEVER "Up The Punx"
Even re-releses on colored vinyl bought by my little sister who has never owned a record player in her life can't give them cred. If I was Ben Weasel I
woulda punched her the day she tried to be like "Hey look I bought some vinyl, I'm a real punk like you now"
Ha Ha I moved to Jacksonville 5 years ago, but I still have memories of staying up after drinking watching TV where they just played appliance diurect commerical after appliance direct commercial for like an hour straight every friday.
Alas, I'm too young to remember Cal as anything more than a living mummy. The voice of my regional advertisement memories has to go to "...or your mattress is FREEEEEEEEEE!".
Man, that dude is still alive and still insists on doing the commercials himself.
No more "Dog" named Spot (my favorite was the monkey), but he did have a stroke and half of his face doesn't move, which is kinda like a gimmick I guess....
My old man told me back in the early 70's 'ol Cal would buy full half-hour blocks of late night TV and do what was then the first kind of infomercials, which were apparently a lot of fun to watch while smoking grass and drinking Hamm's.
And if you mean Against Me!? You're wrong. They were never relevent. (said like "If you guessed Professor Marvin and Bleeding Gums Murphy, you're wrong, they were never popular."
relevant to me. relevant to what i listened to in 2003. relevant to what was cool to me when i was 12. didn't realize this was going to cause such an uproar/ confusion.
So the Canadian show is just Blink/Rancid/Against Me!?
I'd really only be interested in catching AM!: although the other two would be fun in a nostalgia sort of way and i've never seen Rancid live yet. Eh, maybe i'll go if tickets aren't disgustingly expensive.
I don't care if you or anyone goes to this tour.
Your argument is really silly though. That's like saying you are going to sit down with a fork and knife and enjoy eating a piece of dog shit 'because those boys across the street said it would be gross'
I want to go to two shows...Blink has to be one of my favorite bands of all time, and I used to love MCR. They are pretty awful now though. I still have to see Blink though.
mcr has ALWAYS been awful. not pretty awful, god awful. "i'm not okay (i promise)" are you shitting me? was that before they got "pretty awful" awful awful awful.
You and me both. It's going to be tough to not drink a shit ton of beer and have to go piss. It was a nightmare getting up front last time Blink came. Glad MCR isn't coming to this show though.
oh my god. this tour is like the 7th level of hell.
