Nick 13 (Tiger Army) unveils solo debut

Nick 13, guitarist/vocalist of Tiger Army, will be releasing his self-titled solo debut on June 7, 2011 via Sugar Hill Records. The solo project is a departure from his main band, with the label promising classic honky-tonk, California country, rockabilly and Americana. The album features Nick working with a variety of collaborators including Lloyd Green, Sara Watkins, Josh Grange, Eddie Perez and Mitch Marine.

Tiger Army was one of my favorite bands when I was getting into punk. I've been looking forward to this for a while.

I was completely blown away by them. They played Shattered and I couldn't believe it. Them and Cock Sparrer were just phenomenal....hell, the whole weekend was phenomenal. Shame on anyone who didn't go.

They even mentioned that they never played it live before. I am so glad I bought The Show Soundtrack years ago. That song is so amazing and I would never have heard it had it not been for that album.

I love that song so much. I can't believe they didn't put it on Everything Sucks.

Can't wait for this. I hope a new Tiger Army full-length isn't too far off, either. MFRB is my favorite Tiger Army album. It's been too long since its release.

This guys been talking about releasing a solo album for the past four years almost. On top of that, Tiger Army is pretty much his band anyways.. He kind of has an open door policy with all the members, and I'm sure whatever solo stuff he has written would fit fine with most of the retarded psychobilly fans anyways. As long as he still has a pompadour, everything will be perfect.

me of 10 years ago would probably have cared more and would go to his solo show in Detroit in a few weeks. 34 year old me can't be bothered though.

i'll probably check out the album as i've bought everything tiger army released but i don't see this getting a ton of spins. i will say that i enjoyed their last album probably the most out of everything they released though so you never know
