Videos: Bright Eyes: “Jejune Stars”

MTV is premiering the video for Bright Eyes' "Jejune Stars" off of their new album The People's Key which was released back in February via Saddle Creek. The video was directed by Lance Acord, better known for his work on the 2009 movie Where the Wild Things Are

I love this song and I love this album but Bright Eyes videos are usually much better than this. I've always thought that performance based videos come off as very fake and cheesy. Just sayin...

That said, Bright Eyes is great.

Never got this album. Should I? Lifted and Wide Awake are my favs of theirs/his, couldn't get as into Cassadega. Please advise.

Those are my two favorites of theirs and I love the new record. The songs were great live too.

if lifted and wide are your favorite records then you probably wont like the people's key cause those first two were totally flokysh and the new one is full of synths and elec. guitars, it has some acoustic stuff but not as much as in awake. Anyway give it a try is really good you might find something you like :)

Next to One for You, One for Me, this is probably my favorite song on the album. The intro always reminds me of Defiance, Ohio. Too bad the video isn't really anything special.

The only good part about this video is seeing the drummer go nuts on that one part.
