Is this band's name a reference to Ronnie Pinsky of Camp Anawana and Rilo Kiley fame?

I pissed that guy off enough to yell at me about it sometime around 2002, and then the band got popular and I bet he had to deal with Salute Your Shorts questions every night for the last eight years. I didn't get a chance to ask him which of the Savage brothers he liked better having worked on both Wonder Years and Boy Meets World.
