San Francisco, CA-based Punch has unveiled a new track from their upcoming 7-inch. Nothing Lasts will be released soon via Deathwish Inc., 625 and Discos Huelga.

Song is excellent. Solid band. Push/Pull was one of my favourites last year. They operate in that space between hardcore and fastcore where they're writing full songs but they're too short and punchy (hey-o!) to fit in with a lot of more expansive hardcore, but still too structured and long to be fastcore. They are the Jack Palance Band of hardcore.

never really got this band. they do this style ok but nothing to separate themselves from the pack.

I disagree, I think they separate themselves from other fast hardcore bands with their dynamic part changes, fluid transitions, and by being exceptionally tight.

really? So melodic parts ala Modern Life is War, mosh parts, and youth crew breakdowns don't separate them from the pack?
