Leagues Apart (Pre-Fest)

To build momentum for this year's The Fest 10 in Gainesville, Florida, The Menzingers, The Flatliners, Broadway Calls, The Arteries, and Leagues Apart will embark on a pre-Fest tour. The tour will start in New Jersey and work it's way down to Florida in time for The Fest-ivities.

Menzingers don't do anything for me (at least the dude who's not Tom that sings), Flatliners sound like a scene band in beards, and I haven't listened to Broadway Calls since I gave their second album two spins and then neatly filed it away.

I'm surprised about a few of those answers. As for Flatliners, I'm not the biggest fan but that description makes no sense.

I was so turned off by what I heard off their first Fat album that I never wanted to hear another note that any of these dudes ever played again.

I think you're just being grumpy. I agree, your description makes no sense for the Flatliners. I don't think they've put out a really good all the way through album yet but I love a good 10 or so of their songs.

Listen to the Flatliners Calvacade, it's best album of 2010. I'll agree their earlier works were not very impressive but this album was nothing short of amazing.

Sonar's generally been a fine venue other than that one Insub fest. As bad as that was I don't think I'd pass up a good show.

I saw F2F and PBC at Sonar and had no issues. It beats the hell out of Rams Head Club. Plus it was in the Wire.

End of October is gonna be nuts. I've got Cobra Skulls/Nothington on 10/19, Bouncing Souls/Iron Chic on 10/20, this on 10/22 in Baltimore. Then flying into Tampa on 10/26 onward to Fest.
