Media: Stray From the Path: “Prey”

Rocksound is streaming a new track from Long Island, NY's Stray From the Path. "Prey" will appear on the band's upcoming effort Rising Sun, due out August 30, 2011 via Sumerian.

Check it out here. The band will be touring with Terror and The Acacia Strain later this year.

I thought these guys were decent until I saw an interview with them stating that they are the "most pissed off band in the world". They're nothing but a Warriors and RATM rip-off band but with not even half the political/social awareness.

Isn't Sumerian a Christian label? Isn't Norma Jean (guest vocals) a Christian band? Aren't they making hypocritical comments like so many Christian's do (aka complaining about bands being in it for the money, while simultaneously promoting their album)?

If you Google "sumerian records christian" you get links to christian bands (I the Breather, Betraying the Martyrs, Agraceful, etc) that have signed to Sumerian, and to Christian music websites that promote Sumerian.

saw these guys in gadsden alabama. there singer got arrested in the parking lot right before they played so they just played a bunch of limp bizkit covers. it was.... mediocre
