San Diego's Wavves have released a new song entitled "I Wanna Meet Dave Grohl". The song comes from their upcoming Life Sux EP.

I like it. This is a lot like his King of the Beach stuff. It's like a more messed-up Dookie, is how I like to put it. Lots of self-loathing and weed over power chords. Just has more reverb. Great shit.

Agreed. I'm not a Wavves fan, but I did enjoy 'King of the Beach". This is just fucking shitty. This dude in Wavves has always seemed like a bit of a hack to me.

When I was a kid I wanted to meet Wendy's founder Dave Thomas, but you don't see ME writing songs about it, do you? Sheesh.

Nowadays I wouldn't mind meeting Pere Ubu founder Dave Thomas, but I probably *could* write a song about that.

i really dig the production on this, like a more coherent friendlier version of that shitty blown-out down-the-hall reverb sound that that has been hip for a few years now. song is pretty boring though.

Yeah, the production for bands like this always seems to be awesome and the music itself always seems to have been written as they were recording it. Kind of a waste.

Okay I actually didn't listen to this song until just now. Just sounds like pretty mundane pop punk. And the production is way slicker than I thought it would be.
