his radio show kinda sucks. but then it's been almost a year since I've listened to it.

It's mostly just a couple hours of bands that're fairly well known, or at least on bigger labels, and classic songs. Nothing that anybody here wouldn't recognize. And between that he just reads from a bad dj script about bands he doesn't recognize unless he knew them 25+ years ago. So yeah, it's pretty bad.

Totally. And 2 in a row from most bands. And it seems the show is about 40% bands associated with Rancid.

I listened to it once. He was so clearly bored and couldn't care less what was being played.

I must admit, I'm intrigued. I haven't heard a lot of this project, but it's not hard to imagine what it sounds like. I'd give Graves a shot singing Ramones tunes...bound to be more satisfying than CJ Ramone's ever-touring band.

Saw CJ live in NC and I thought it was great! Maybe you went to a bad show?

Don't get me wrong, I don't have any issue with him as a musician, it's just that I've never considered him much of a part of the band's iconic image, not like Marky. To put it simply, seeing CJ's band is as significant to me as seeing a basic Ramones tribute band, or even a band featuring only Richie, for instance.

Of course, I only feel that way because I'm too young to have ever seen any incarnation of the original band live.
