Hostage Calm recently recorded a Nervous Energies session in Nashville, TN on their tour with Rival Schools. The band's latest effort Hostage Calm was released in 2010 on Run For Cover Records.

Conceptually, that was really cool. In practice.....it fell a little short. I think that with more practice their harmonies could be good. Really good.

But I also fear that their lead singer can't really sing live. And that's a hurdle that's tough to get over.

I liked them better when they were punk. Although I guess it was priceless to see how hardcore kids reacted to their new material.
