Ohio's Hit the Lights have launched a stream of their upcoming EP, Invicta, due out tomorrow via Razor & Tie. The band recently recorded their first new studio album in over four years with producers Machine (Four Year Strong, Armor For Sleep, Cobra Starship) and Mike Sapone (Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Crime in Stereo). The new album will be released in early 2012 and follows Skip School, Start Fights.

i'm not ashamed to say i enjoyed the last album for what it was, an extremely poppy easycore/punk-pop album. but the overly-processed vocals and guitars in this one put me off. too bad because i really liked "skip school start fights." this sounds like a happier linkin park or something. there's just something really gratingly artificial sounding about these new songs.
