Pinkerton Thugs sign to Jailhouse Records, plan new full length

The Pinkerton Thugs have signed with Jailhouse Records, the label announced, and are planning to record a new full-length. The album will be the band's first since 2000's End of an Era. In addition, Jailhouse will be re-releasing some of the band's back catalog.

The band will also be doing some dates around New England in February with fellow Boston punks The Ducky Boys, who have recently reunited.

Also gotta admit I'm pretty stoked on Jailhouse Records. Those Pink Lincolns reissues were the tits and the guy who runs it seems like a pretty nice dude from the few interactions we've had. I heartily endorse this event or product.

wait, wait wait, there were Pink Lincolns reissues? I loved what I heard by them over the years on various comps but was never alble to track down any of their albums. I'd say they were up there with The Cretins but I actually managed to get both of their albums (well ep and album)

Those are some quality shows for you lucky eastcoasters. Ducky Boys and the Falcons both bring it live. Never seen Pinkerton Thugs but had a few of their ep's back in the day and I remember it being pretty good stuff.

In the last 4-5 years I've seen the P-Thugs all over New England on and off, mostly Boston. Even though Micah's gone, it is different but they're still well worth seeing. I feel like they don't get nearly enough recognition these days.

Yes. True story: He and I had some correspondence briefly after his departure from the Unseen and moved to... I believe, Chicago? I sent him an email inquiring about his gear and we sort of kept talking back and forth for a while. At some point he asked where I lived and if I would be willing to play bass in a band with him. As he described it, it would have been less punk rock like the Thugs/ Unseen and would ebb more towards The Smiths and Joy Division. I entertained the idea-- but I think he was unaware I was 16 at the time.
