Mastodon + Feist 7"

Atlanta's Mastodon and Canadian singer-songwriter Feist will be releasing a split 7" for 2012's Record Store Day. The unlikely pair performed on an episode of BBC's Later... With Jools Holland last October.

Mastodon's most recent release is The Hunter, which came out this past September.

They were great a couple weeks back in Chicago. Was glad they had a diverse setlist, didn't just do songs off of last two albums.

the sound wasn't very good for dillinger, i was at the show that DEP played at the bottom lounge last spring and they were the best i'd ever seen them. did u make it to that naked raygun/falcon show at the metro?

This is a really really cool idea. I read an article where they described it as a "Beauty And The Beast" release. Can't wait to hear the results.

Without listening to this, again (as I checked out earlier in the week when it was everywhere else) it said they'd like to and were working on the idea, not that it was definite.

Probably not making music that's listenable.

I want to like them more than I ever seem able to, so far the only song that I've ever really enjoyed was the track from the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie
