Billy Talent to release new album in June

Toronto's Billy Talent have announced that they will be releasing their new album in June of this year. Frontman Benjamin Kowalewicz said "Things are fantastic right now! This record has been a really amazing experience right the way through. we haven't put any pressure on ourselves, nor have we set any unnecessary restrictions or boundaries. The dynamics of the band are really happy at the moment and that's definitely coming across in the songs."

The band's most recent release was Billy Talent III in 2009.

The guy on the right's hair always makes me laugh.
I've not heard much from these guys past what I heard on the radio (the local "alternative" station is based in Canada so they play a lot of Canadian bands) and a few of their shows that I worked where I didn't really have time to pay attention. Worth looking into?

I remember hearing their stuff on 89X and the guy's voice reminded me of the Apocalypse Hoboken singer's voice, so I rather enjoyed the songs that I heard. But I never ventured beyond that. Couldn't hurt to check them out, I guess.

Never thought of that but I can see it. I hate 89x for the most part but I had almost a year with a busted radio in my car so I was pretty much forced to listen to the radio if I didn't want silence and they sure as hell beat listing to WRIF.

I hear that dude. I worked at a Pet store way back when and that's all they played. Dave and Chuck The Freak make me giggle a little bit, but as far as listening to the music, I never do.

the first two albums actually have some pretty good tunes on them, but the third was too draggy for me. i find the dudes' voice makes it or breaks it for most people.

I loved "Caribbean Queen", but I never got around to checking out one of his full albums.

Their 2003 Self Titled album is the only one that I really enjoy from start to finish. Great songs all around and lots of energy. Try Honestly, Living in the Shadows and Lies are a few songs to check out on it.

hook line and sinker was an awesome song as well. i first heard it watching some old ryan sheckler skate video back when he was a lil' kid.
