Tours: Screeching Weasel / The Queers

Screeching Weasel have added a few new dates to their "Heard You Were Dead" Tour with The Queers, in California, Washington, and Colorado. Along the way, the bands will play with Toys That Kill, The Nobodys, Night Birds, and more.

nobodys / queers / sw sounds like the perfect lineup for me during the 6 month period in 1999 when i loved minute long silly pop punk songs

I saw the Queers a year ago and they were better than great! This would probably still be pretty fun.
I also kind of get a kick out of how much people around here hate Ben Weasel.

I'll be in a band with him. He'll protect me from the Riot grrrls on tour. They are mean and strong and usually have a bigger pair of nuts than me. Or maybe that's their giant clitoris. Either way, their clitoriss, no clitori....no, their clits are bigger than my nut sack and I need Ben Weasel to protect me. Him or Drillbit Taylor.

They are one of the few bands that I haven't had the luxury of seeing live. If I could have a tour with FYP, The Nobodys, Op Ivy, Pretty Boy Thorson and the Falling Angels and Bickley my life would be complete. In my worthless opinion FYP and The Nobodys are 2 of the most underrated bands of all time. I have always liked both of them way more than Screeching Weasel and The Queers. FYP and The Nobodys just did the pop punk better. That's my worthless opinion. I mean that really grinds my gears.

Funny, my old roommate has a band called The Malcontent.

I caught the Nobodys opening for Swingin Utters or maybe Guttermouth now that I think about it. I know I left before whoever was headlining hit the stage in any event. Missed going to Cleveland once to see The Nobodys, Chixdiggit and The Queers, which I think was the Nobodys with Joe singing at that point.

That sounds about right timewise. I miss those days when it seemed like i was always going to one show or another. Anymore I'm lucky to hit 1 every other month

Hate, hate, hate, blah, blah, blah. I don't care, I'll hit up the Los Angeles show. I'm no better than anyone, I have no right to pass judgment, and I still like those old SW records. Plus, I want to see if Ben's head really looks that blocky in real life.

I went to the Asian Man tour a few years ago, when it was The Queers / Andrew Jackson Jihad / Lemuria / Bomb the Music Industry! and Kepi Ghoulie. The show was really cute and nerdy and rad for the first 4/5, and then when the Queers took the stage, all the meatheads that were hanging out in the bar came out and made it all sweaty and weird.

Not interested.
