Xtra Mile Recordings teams with Independent Label Group for North American releases

UK based independent label Xtra Mile Recordings have forged a deal with Independent Label Group to distribute releases in the US and Canada.

Originally formed in 2003 to release records by Million Dead and Reuben, Xtra Mile has slowly expanded over the last nine years, working with acts including Frank Turner, Crazy Arm, I Am The Avalanche, Against Me!, Future Of The Left, and Dave Hause.

The first release to benefit from the new venture will be Future Of The Left's new full length The Plot Against Common Sense due out on the 12th of June, 2012. Apparently, releases from The Xcerts, Crazy Arm, Mull Historical Society and Sophie Madeleine are planned for the months following too.

Bout time Crazy Arm got some US exposure. They're one of the best live bands in Britain and their albums are all kinds of fucking awesome. Xcerts are pretty immense too, they sound like a Scottish Brand New.

this 100 times over, their 2 albums are utterly fantastic and their live performances are great too, especially with the addition of the female vocals and the keyboard player.

any band that has a sound thats so expansive that it could fall anywhere between bruce springsteen and baroness while making it sound organic must be doing something right.

as far as im concerned Its an absolute travesty that to a large amount of people, that band is sharks, not that their awful, but there nowhere near as exciting or original compared to so so many bands. I wouldn't blame people if they didn't follow many UK punk bands as they thought they were the best band the scene had to offer.
