Media: Pixies give away free live EP from Coachella 2004

In something of a celebration this week, between two weekends of the 2012 Coachella Festival, the Pixies have posted a free live EP. The tracks come from the band's performance at the 2004 Coachella Festival, and includes 3 songs from their 1989 album Doolittle, and one from their debut Come on Pilgrim.

*Debaser = 'Doolittle'. Sorry, I was a little thrown off by that error.

But yes, two from 'Doolittle', one from 'Come on Pilgrim' and one from 'Trompe le Monde'. I find this band insufferable, but even I knew that much.

You disappoint me Skibz. To your credit though, I never know what your opinion of a band will be until you express it. You're a mystery wrapped in a riddle or whatever.

To be fair, the Pixies wrote great songs, they just messed them up by recording them. I don't like their sloppiness or production; I feel it practically ruins what are otherwise brilliant songs. Maybe their garage-y quality is what gives them their charm, but nearly every Pixies cover I've heard I vastly prefer to the originals.

Or you can just download the full bootleg of the entire set, which is out there and very high quality. I've had it since 2005. Also, I was at this show and it was tits.
