Media: The Flaming Lips: “Thunder Up: Racing for the Prize!!!”

Oklahoma's The Flaming Lips have released a song called "Thunder Up: Racing for the Prize!!!," in support of the Oklahoma City Thunder and their quest for the NBA Championship. Game 2 of the Thunder's series against the San Antonio Spurs is tonight; San Antonio beat the Thunder 101 - 98 in Game 1.

i live in the okc area. watching all these people who didn't give two shits about the NBA 5 years ago trip over their dicks because we have a team now is absolutely maddening.

This is fair to an extent but for those of us who have been supporters from day 1 it's pretty easy to spot the people who don't know Kristic played for the team or that PJ Carlesimo was out joke of a head coach for a 3- 20 start or that Eric Maynor played for VCU before he was drafted, and promptly ignore them. Every team has the bandwagon jumpers when times are going well.
