Social Distortion

While they're promising to begin work on their new album in January 2013, Social Distortion is planning to spend more of 2012 on the road in continued support of their album Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes. The band will be touring with Canadian/Tennessean folk musician Lindi Ortega as well as The Biters.

Last November was Chuck Ragan and Off With Their Heads. I had a beer with Chuck after he finished playing and left during SxDx. "Greatest Hits Touring Phase" hit it on the head.

If anyone's going to this, do yourself a favor and don't show up for the Biters. Saw them a couple weeks ago opening for Riverboat Gamblers and holy shit were they boring. Their schtick mostly consisted of the two guitarists and the bass player all turning and facing the drummer and then turning around in unison... about six or seven times.

When they weren't doing this their singer was trying to get the people in the back into the show who were "back there updating your facebook statuses." Oh, ho ho! Edgy!

I'll give 'em this: They play their instruments well. Problem is they don't write songs well. And their haircuts look stupid.

Biters are one the best bands touring right now. If your not into their influences then you probably wont like them...and get over theier hair cuts. its rock n roll man.
