Your favorite - or at least best known - conservative punk rock figure, Michale Graves, has announced a summer tour in support of his upcoming solo album, War of Information, which is due out in the fall. The former vocalist of the latter day The Misfits remains notorious for his appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
People hate on Graves but he can be a libertarian because he has more money than all of you beard punks and thus being a libertarian is a good choice for him.
Not like money is any reliable indicator of anything other than being a greedy dick, but I'd be shocked if Graves has more in is bank account right now than I do. Where the fuck do you think his money is coming from? He pulls like 50 people per show.
I'm not even gonna answer that question. If you ever grow up, get a real job, and make enough money to stop receiving food stamps and mooching off Graves and others (and then some...), then come back to me so you can readdress your greedy comment. Until then, enjoy waking up at 12 and sitting on your ass in your mom's shack browsing punknews.org...
what is wrong with you? you should go to a doctor.
Also, I think you took a wrong turn in choosing a genre of music to listen to because you are pretty much the furthest thing from punk rock I've ever seen on this site. Maybe you meant to go to www.boringmiddlemanagementnews.org or www.oldpeoplemusicandtaxadvice.org?
I guess I'll go listen to a genre where everybody is a follower and gets off on every little thing that's said as long as it's spoken in a melody. Fucking drones...
Anyway, lunch break is over for my, you know, job. I gotta get back to work to make some spending money for me and my girlfriend's 3 week stay in Rome and Vienna in a couple weeks. Living my dreams!
You're right. I don't have bank account access so I can't technically refute it. Of course you just claimed you had more money and used reasoning such as "because it's true" to back it up. If that's not the stupidest thing you've ever said, then please go play in some traffic.
One is in a wildly popular band that received thousands per gig, the other is, well, you.
What the hell band are you talking about? Do you seriously think he's still swimming in Misfits royalties?
I can tell from the venues on that itinerary that this guy doesn't make shit at his shows. And I can tell by your mastery of the English language that you probably make even less, so some dude pulling in $16,000 yearly living in a van looks like a fucking billionaire to you. Just keep shooting for the stars, buddy.
It was obvious to me he's not completely in this tour for the money. He's got plenty from the Misfits days. And yeah, maybe the 18k he's making is more than I make if I work a couple weeks a year.
I doubt he's made that much money, and is it not worse to make the money and turn out to be a cunt that stops caring about the love of punk rock and what it represented for the money?
And why wouldn't you be? Dude's got a rockstar job, a totally hot girlfriend, travels the world AND home ownership. Food stamps don't buy plane tickets to Vienna EINSTEIN.
I hate Ron Paul and his drones so fucking much. I've never seen people get so worked up over someone they knew nothing about before. Well other than Obama, that is.
I've found that arguing with them is futile, as they will usually just turn around and say "WELL U JUST H8 LIBERTY AND FREEDOM DONT U????" if you try to explain why Ron Paul is such a d-bag.
But...but...I'm sure he DOES believe in evolution and contraceptive rights, he's just saying he doesn't to pander to the social-conservative base! ...Right?
Not initially because I was impressed with how many spots got booked. Then I looked at some of the cities and venues, and it definitely works better as sarcasm. How was that for playing both sides of the Intertube Dry Humor Fence?
he's playing the Marimar Theater here in Milwaukee which back in the day, was a pretty good place to play, but now, it's just a run-down joint not too many good bands are playing at. my band played a show there and the stage looked like it was falling apart. We played withe these guys that took a good hour and a half for soundcheck. they were going for a motley crue look and sound. the singer had to make sure he had enough body glitter on before going out.
Aw you missed a great opportunity to use the baby Michael graves picture from the daily show as the headline pic. That was the only reason I even opened this story
i do as well. mostly cause i was like 12 back then. and that shit was awesome. American Psycho was pretty awesome, Cuts From the Crypt had some gems (especially I Wanna Be A New York Ranger) haha anyway yeah fuck i forgot what i was talking about .. 7th grade? yeah, this check lauren in my english class was totally hot. but i never talked to her cause i was sitting in the back listening to awesome shit on the discman
